To ban a customer from using our public PCs, first log in to Netloan just as you would to manage bookings etc.
One logged in, go to the "users" tab and search for the customer. The most efficient way to find them is via their library card number, but you can also search using first and last name.
Once you have located the customer, click their library card number to open their account.
To suspend the user, click "suspend user" in the menu to the right.
You will arrive at the suspension form:
Here you can specify how long the user should be banned for, and write some comments regarding the suspension. You must make sure you select the "suspended" user group - if you don't do this, they will not be banned from using the public PCs. When you're ready, click the "suspend" button.
You will be brought back to the user's account, and there will be a box at the top confirming the suspension, how long they are suspended for and any comments.
If you have made a mistake, or if for some reason you wish for the customer to be unbanned earlier than the time you specified, you can click "reactivate user" which will put them back into their original user group and allow them to access the PCs again. If not, they will be automatically reactivated at the end of the suspension period specified.
